Building Assessments
Includes a summary of the enrollment of students in the public schools in New Orleans and the building capacity. Explains the process of the 5 “Quick Start” schools (a new school in each of the 5 city council districts in New Orleans). Gives an overview of the SFMP, where the Recovery School District is in Phase 1 and the cost of the phases and future projects.
Provides the 5 renovated or new schools that opened in 2010, the stabilization projects, modular projects, construction contracts and demolition projects. Includes the architect, contractor and size for each project and the date construction started, is to be completed and the total cost of the project. Also provides FEMA negotiations, SFMP Phase 1 groups and where they are in the design process and how many jobs will be created through the construction and renovations.
